Systemic family therapy
At CEPFAMI, we work with a systemic approach. We are aware that the family may be the source of some deceptions; nonetheless, we strongly believe that it may also be the very origin of all the necessary resources to solve such problems. Our role is making you able to access those resources.
We will offer you a therapy which we will all take part in, which will help you heal your discomfort and will teach you how to socialize more easily and harmonically, making you feel better.
The systemic approach focuses on how individuals engage with their own social environment.
"No human being is an island" — none of us can live artificially isolating from our own context, but rather, we are alive when we interact with it. In fact, we can't help interacting with our social environment, be it our family, workplace or any other social context.
In the systemic approach, the therapist's attention is turned towards the individual, his/her relationships and the social dynamics existing between his/her acquaintances.
A psychological disorder is therefore not much considered as a person’s problem, but rather, as the expression of a relational discomfort which may be affecting the whole family.
Systemic relational psychotherapy allows in-depth processing of the change aimed at, and helps gathering a comprehensive perspective of the various difficulties a person may have to confront with during his/her life. This approach focuses on evaluating both personal and relational skills, as well as the resources which we rely on in real life. Systemic psychotherapy aims at helping people elaborate more effective and functional forms of communication which then allow them to improve the quality of their life.
