Family therapy is a psychotherapy which has the family as its starting point and deals with problematic and difficult issues occurring both inside and outside the family.
Systemic family psychotherapy considers the family as a system in which its members act in a manner that characterizes each of them. As well as individuals in general have their own identity, families as well have their own unique signature.
Family therapy aims at identifying the problem starting from the dynamics of the family, so as to establish which routine behaviours are preventing the problem from being solved. Sometimes, the solutions found by the family are not enough, and an external perspective is therefore necessary to intervene more clearly and effectively.
